shepherd pie.

made shepherd pie last sunday, after went to the poll center to cast my vote for #GE13. heh. i'm a good citizen too y'know~ not gonna comment abt the result tho. just wanna say that... i'm proud to be a selangor-ian. kkk.

ok let's move on to this scrumptious delicious shepherd pie! made by... yours truly. lol. well i got this recipe from kak ana suzana's blog (her blog has 45362739874 nice recipes tho). it feels like, i gotta try it all!~ OTL. so here's the recipe.

ingredients :-



4-5 potatoes
1/2 cup fresh milk
2 spoons butter
white pepper (secukop rase)
salt (secukop rase)
1/2 biji holland onion
200g minced meat/chicken/etc
sos prego
black pepper (secukop rase)
grated mozarella cheese

how to do :-

1) potong potatoes kecik2 bentuk dadu. rebuskan sampai empuk. nak tau empuk ke x - mase tengah direbus tu try cucukkan kentang tu dgn lidi, kalo sng je dia terbenam tu, da empuk ler tu.


2) dah empuk, keluarkan then toskan. dan2 tu gak, lenyekkan potatoes tu. aku buat pakai cawan plestik je. guna blkg cawan tu utk lenyekkan potatoes tu sampai dia lumat #oldskool. kalo tensen tgk result #GE13 tu, elok la buat gini, teros ilang tensen lmao.

3) sambil2 lenyek tu, tuangkan fresh milk tu sikit2 smpai capai thp piawai mashed potato kepci. jgn tuang sekaligus smpai abis, tuang je sikit2 sambil lenyek. takut nnt kalo tuang semua dia jd lembik sgt lak.


4) sambil2 tu gak, letak 2 sudu butter then sambung lenyek lg. bubuh gak white pepper & garam supaya berperisa sket mashed potato ni. tadahhh, layer mashed potato siap!


5) next step ialah utk buat layer kuah daging dia. firstly, tumis bawang holland sampai layu. bawang holland ni bg aku bawang beso la. kalo xde tulis holland, beli jela pape pon lol. janji bawang beso (bukan bawang merah tau).


6) masokkan minced meat. kalo x makan daging, bole letak minced chicken. yg penting kene minced (cincang) ler. kalo letak seketul drumstick ayam tu kang camno lak nk mkn. masak smpai bertukar kaler jd cekelat2 sket (means da masak le tu).


7) masokkan sos prego. yg ni xtau la byk mane. ikot tahap piawai kecairan kuah yg kita suka la kot. jgn terlalu pekat & jgn terlalu cair. agak2 sedang jela cam kuah spaghetti gittew.

8) bubuh jgk black pepper & garam secukop rase. sampai rase sedap tekak menelan. tadaahh, kuah daging siap!


9) next step ialah utk susun di dlm tray / ramekin bowl tu. first layer ialah mashed potato td. bubuh rata2, half je ok, lg separuh nk bubuh jd atap dia karang. lol. jgn tebal sgt jgn nipis sgt. agak2 je la. 2nd layer ialah kuah daging td. yg ni bubuh je sume. 3rd layer ialah balance mashed potato td. utk belah atas ni letak nipis sket pon xpe. 4th layer ialah cheese! grated cheese bole dibeli di supermarket. brand pizza plus ke ape ke. jenis pon sukati la nk mozarella ke parmesan ke ape ke. aku bantai je beli yg paling murah, coz grated cheese ni mahal, so sebagai seorang yg cheapskate, amik yg murah sudey.


10) the last & final step is.... masokkan ke dlm oven! yg ni aku pon x sure btol ke x, bantai je. tgk2 jadi, so ok la tu kot. 180 degrees, for around 20-30 minutes. tengok cheese on top tu make sure dia da bertukar kaler kekuningan (nmpk cam da masak la gitu). bole la dikeluarkan, bg dia sejuk warm2 sat dlm 10-15 minit then bole la dihidangkan. jgn teros mkn nnt melecur lak mulut anak hang. kkk.

p/s: made few other dishes last few weeks actually; spghetti olio, kimbap & bread pudding with choc chip. but they didn't turn out & taste well (for me) so it made me lazy to blog abt it. muahahar.
